I am committed to respecting and protecting your online privacy. I want you to be confident that the information you give me when using this website is safe and secure. This Privacy Policy explains how I will use your personal information. 

Where I collect your personal information from:

Every time you log on to this website your IP (Internet Protocol) address registers on my website servers. Your IP address reveals no information other than the number assigned to you. I do not use this technology to get any personal data against your knowledge or free will (i.e. automatically recording e-mail addresses of visitors), nor do I use it for any purpose other than to help me monitor traffic on my website, or (in case of criminal activity or misuse of my information) to cooperate with law enforcement.

I am currently also trialling Web-Stat on a trial basis to monitor traffic to my online shop. Web-Stat anonymises all the data it collects and it does not write any cookies on your computer. 

How I use your personal information:

I keep a record of customers' contact details in a mailing list which I may use to contact you with news about my art business, new events or exhibitions, and special offers. These will be infrequent, i.e. less than once a month. If you would prefer not to be contacted then please get in touch with your request to remove you from the mailing list. If you have sent me an enquiry by email or using the 'Contact' form, I will use your contact details and other information you supply in order to respond to your enquiry. I will use contact details you supply when making purchases for the purposes of shipping your order(s).

How I store you personal information:

Customer contact details are compiled into a password-protected mailing list and stored on a local hard drive. An encrypted backup copy of the mailing list is maintained in cloud storage.

Who your personal information is shared with:

I may share your contact details on my mailing list with a small number of art galleries who represent me and my artwork, for the purposes of inviting you to new events or private viewings. If you would prefer not to be contacted then please get in touch with your request to remove you from the mailing list. 

Your details will not be supplied to any other organisations for their own marketing. 

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.  

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are put in your browser to monitor how this site is used but they do not contain personal information and cannot tell me who you are.

Like many other e-commerce websites, I may use 'cookies' to store and track information about the usage of this site. Cookies are small pieces of information that are transferred from this site and stored by your browser in a small text file on your computer. They are used when you visit this site to record temporary data relating to your visit, to manage the delivery of web pages to you and any registration and ordering processes, and to help monitor traffic through the site.

I will be using Google Analytics to collect information about visitor behaviour on my website. Google Analytics stores information about what pages you visit, how long you are on the site, how you got here and what you click on. This Analytics data is collected via a JavaScript tag in the pages of my site and is not tied to personally identifiable information. I therefore do not collect or store your personal information (e.g. your name or address) so this information cannot be used to identify who you are.

Third Party Cookies

There may be infrequent third party cookies used on my website, e.g. associated with an embedded YouTube video or where I add social media buttons linking to Facebook or Instagram. (These sites are almost certainly collecting information about what you are doing all around the internet, including on this website, and this is beyond my control. It should be possible to check the respective policies of each of these third party sites to see how exactly they use your information and how you can control this).

Shopping Cart Cookies

I use a session cookie to remember your log-in for you and what you’ve put in the shopping basket. These cookies are strictly necessary and cannot realistically be disabled without compromising the functionality of the website.

SECURITY

PayPal and Square are the companies that processes customer card payments, providing secure online credit card and debit card payment solutions. When your order is placed on my website, your credit card information is encrypted by the PayPal or Square secure online payment processing system. I do not receive any of your credit / debit card details as this is handled entirely by PayPal / Square.
