I am a self-taught artist based in the beautiful rolling Herefordshire countryside in the UK. I am also a former professional biologist, and much of my artwork celebrates the natural world, from its tiniest intricacies to wild expansive landscapes.
I specialise in nature art, wildlife and landscape art. For detailed, realistic works I use mixed media (acrylic, gouache, ink, pencil & coloured pencil).
I am also a printmaker, working with linocut using the 'reduction' technique. These original prints have a looser style. I hand-print each block in small editions in my studio.
My commissioned artworks and illustrations have been published in various media including:
The BBC, Oxford University Press, The Society for General Microbiology, The Scientist magazine
Microbiology Today magazine, Biologist magazine, and in East Devon District Council wildlife guides.
I am a Fellow of the Royal Society for Arts, Manufacture & Commerce (RSA) and a member of the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators (GNSI).
